Exciting news! Lifestyle Weight Loss is back in 2024! Start date for the next eight week session to be held at Revolution Chiropractic in Murfreesboro, TN will be Monday, October 21st with the last session on Monday, December 9th. The emphasis for this eight week session is Discover Your Triggers, and the Right Food Plan for You. We will also host a walking group, and prepare for the challenges of the holiday season. Lifestyle Weight Loss is a support program to assist those who want to reach a healthy weight, balance blood sugar, get free from food addiction and maintain that freedom. We use a combination of sugar detox, social connection, and learning to support and establish a lifestyle of healthy habits with food. We use a group coaching approach: You take an active part in choosing your steps.
A lifestyle of healthy eating requires four foundational pillars:
1) Social Connection- The opposite of addiction is connection. We will practice connecting for mutual support and encouragement.
2) Emotional Observation- Awareness of emotions gives pause to emotional eating. We will aim to become aware of the emotions that trigger craving.
3) Dietary Satisfaction- We will learn to practice being satisfied with wholesome foods and abstain from addictive foods
4) Lifestyle Foundations- Sleep, exercise, sunshine, and purpose are foundations we will encourage to bolster success.
This program consists of weekly support meetings grouped in eight week sessions. We will explore and practice all of the pillars in each session, with each session having a particular emphasis.

In seven weeks, I lost 25 pounds and 1 ½ inches from my waist. Even more exciting is that my diabetes is now under control and I am off all diabetes medicines. Answer: Weekly meetings are 1.5 hours. Some time will need to be devoted to planning, shopping and food preparation, but meals can be very simple.
2. Can anyone participate?
Answer: Yes, anyone may participate, male or female. However, be aware that most participants are Christ-followers and we may pray and/or read from the Bible during the meeting. If this offends you, this may not be the best group for you.
3. What happens if I don't participate fully in the program?
Answer: This program may be conformed to your goals and your pace. We don't judge anyone for their personal choices. However, the more closely you follow the program and stay engaged, the better the results.
4. How much weight can I expect to lose?
Answer: Average weight loss is 1-3 pounds per week, depending on how fully you participate in the program and your body's response. Men and those with more weight to lose tend to lose at a higher rate, especially at first.
5. How does this program keep the weight off?
Answer: When you make good food choices a lifestyle by making it a habit, then a healthy weight can be reached and sustained. This program addresses sugar and flour addiction, which most programs do not address. Additionally, we acknowledge the need for ongoing emotional support and aim to provide that.
8. Is exercise included in this program?
Answer: Light exercise if fine and encouraged, mostly in the form of movement like walking and yoga. Starting an intense exercise program is discouraged at first because it will usually stall weight loss. Of course, if you already exercise, keep it up!

- An effective plan for sustained weight loss based on the most up-to-date knowledge and understanding of metabolic function, food craving and addiction. We incorporate the wisdom of several leaders in the field. This is not about an extreme, short-term diet, but a sustainable, long-term plan.
- All are welcome! Although our meetings are not heavily "religious", members who would like to express their dependence on their higher power, especially Jesus Christ are welcome and encouraged to share their personal experiences. However, we ask that you use "I" messages and never preach "at".
- Encouragement and support for eating real food that you plan and prepare. We advocate healthy, non-processed foods. You may maintain any personal bent involving vegetarian or low-carbohydrate choices.
- Training in meal planning and preparation.
- Help in dealing with cravings and the difficult emotions surrounding dietary changes.
- Solutions for the challenges of social settings and home life.
- A time for you to share your struggles and successes in a small group setting.
- A 60 minute private consultation is included in the price of $149. Weekly support meetings only are priced at $79 for the eight week session.
- Optional weekly 30-60 minute coaching calls. (There is an additional cost for this service.)
- Optional testing through Revolution Chiropractic Murfreesboro, including Immuno Food Allergy testing, stool testing and blood testing. This service is for those who want to access health markers such as glucose, insulin, leptin, lipids, hormones and thyroid or determine the status of their gut health.
